Words of Wisdom

Where are the weeks going? We are already at the end of May; Summertime is here!
With the weather being so nice lately, we've got to spend lots of time outside - running, walks through the park, playground with my cousins, coffees, dinners, shopping and a massive outlay of money on flights and vacations! I LOVE SUMMER!!!
Haven't used my camera near as much as I would like but next week in Barcelona, it will re-appear in a big way.
So, in the absense of lots of pictures, here are a words of inspiration with a few completely unrelated photos.

Be the change!
...the change you want to see in yourself, in others and in the world.

What you think you become!
...if you hear something long enough, you start to believe it.  Why not start thinking about the positives, sharing them with the people around you.

Where there is love, there is life!
When you give something love, it lives and it does so in the best way possible.
Loving another human being, loving an animal, loving a plant, loving your job or your hobbies - everything will grow and flourish when there is love.

Your health is your real wealth!
...Because if you don't have your health, you have very little. Take care of it, both physical and mental. Take care of the things you put in your body, and the people you surround your body with.

Have a sense of humor!
Too many people take themselves too seriously. We need to learn to laugh at ourselves and with others (not necessarily at others!) Enjoy your family life, enjoy your work life. Enjoy being you!

Your life is your message!
Make it a good one

Action expresses priorities!

Our greatness is being able to remake ourselves!
...Maybe this is one of our greatest attributes. We are way stronger than we think. We have the ability to control our own thoughts and our own actions - if only we could train our minds to
 do it.

Find yourself in the service of others!

Gandhi was a very wise man.

A long stretch at work and then BARCELONA!!!

Happy Tuesday!

What's Been Happening

One month ago, 13th April, I celebrated my 26th birthday and since then I can't help thinking I am growing up...NOOOOOOO. Serious job/career, wanting to buy my first home, getting my Irish drivers licence, surrounding myself with pretty awesome people, both near and far, came to the realisation I need a proper night sleep to function correctly, as well as the realisation that if I continue to eat as much sugar I do, I will probably have developed diabetes by my 27th birthday!
To add to this, I have developed quite a serious Pinterest addication.

Crucible Time

The adventures of Joanne and Dearbhla continue...

Back to Sheffield and to the Crucible... It was my first trip anywhere in 2 years that I didn't take my camera with me. I felt naked!! I thought it was going to have positive repercussions on the baggage weight allowance, however I still ended up boarding my Ryanair flight to Manchester with 4 or 5 layers of clothes on.

Friday night at Dublin airport, with large coffees in hand; in the words of Dearbhla: "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak! Sheffield here we crawl...."

Ryanair preparations (granted, this was on the return, but it was a similar story on the way out)

On arrival

Great eats, A LOT of laughing, a visit to a casino, shopping and lots more!

 At the Crucible...

What's going on here?!

If I could wish one thing at this moment, it is that I was there right now watching the final session!!
Best of luck R!!
