BEST FRIENDS

I had this weird complex as a kid - I always wanted to be everyone's best friend. It was one of my favorite questions to ask people : " who is your best friend? " (That, and "do you want to have a race?")

I only wanted to have one best friend, one mega friend who I could tell all my other friends that she/he was the best one. But at the same time, I wanted to be that best one for every single person I met!

Most people have 1 or 2 best friends, but I am lucky enough to say I have about two hand fulls. Best friends are people who know you inside out, they know all your idiosyncrasies, all your annoying habits, all your weaknesses, but they love you anyway.

I suppose I am lucky and unlucky at the same time. I am lucky because of the bonds I share with them, but unlucky because of the miles and oceans between us. From Argentina, to USA, to Tunisia, to Mexico, to Poland, to Spain, to England, and back to Ireland again...

If you have a best friend, someone you appreciate, someone you love, tell them...you never know when it's too late.
