Wordless Wednesday- Through The Eyes of a Child

Colonia, Uruguay
My second last day in Argentina, and two days after the wedding, we decided to take a little trip : to Uruguay! The poor things were so tired, Belu a little sick (first question from everyone was the same!) but we still made the boat to Colonia and had an amazing day.
Los recien casados y el third wheel!!
When we got off the boat, it was like we stepped back in time. Cobbled streets, old buildings and churches, a sense of calm and tranquility. There were people around, but everyone was quiet. The nosiest things were the stray dogs fighting with each other (while eyeing up the passers by.) Little shops selling blue and white pottery, small house decorations and lots of little stalls selling keyrings, flags, and of course, their neighbor Argentina's favorite: dulce de leche.
It was SO nice to be able to spend this time with one of my greatest friends, to relax, to laugh, to relive the amazing wedding, to reminisce about old times in Florida together and laugh again as much as possible, because we knew whenwe had to say goodbye, we weren't going to know when the next hello would be.
But I have a good feeling; it won't be too long.

The Holidays in Florida
Best feeling of 2012??
Being collected in Miami in Suzie, my car!
1 year and 2 months away from Florida was long enough, thank you very much. It was an amazing feeling to be back. I knew I missed it, but only realised how much on the drive down to Naples. The smells, the sounds, the radio stations, the signs, everything back, everything so familiar.
Christmas in the sun was something I HATED the thought of growing up. I could never get my head around Christmas on a beach. Obviously, home for the holidays is the best, but Florida for the holidays is a pretty close second. As a matter of fact, it may be tied at number one now. How things change!
When I saw our tree for the first time, I couldn't believe the size of it- it was huge! Our biggest tree we've ever had looming large in the living room. Only for a few days later, to our shock and horror, we found her lying on the floor. She had given herself up! Reviving her was no easy feat. It involved lots of blood, sweat, tears, shouting, arguments, a new set of lights to replace smashed old ones, and a new tree stand. Hours later, we managed to resurrect her!
Our Christmas
Lots of outdoors
A trip to Palm Beach
Practice with my new macro lens
A day trip to Disney
New Years Eve celebrations. Such a nice night!
Enjoying the warm evenings
Worst feeling of 2013? Leaving Florida!
Hope that feeling won't last too long this time. See you soon Florida!!!
Have a great weekend everyone
